General Function of the Position:
  • To provide a single point of contact for end users to receive support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment.
  • This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment (including but not limited to PC, terminals, printers and scanners) to ensure optimal workstation performance.
  • The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via remote access) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.
Statement of Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Performs all routine Desk side Support responsibilities such as desktop application troubleshooting, additional software installations, hardware setup and troubleshooting (CPU, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, UPS, Cisco/AVAYA IP Phone) and vendor escalation
  • Creates and maps floor plan, generates reports, provides remote client support, handles requests/incident management through phone or e-mail and helpdesk complement in ticketing concerns
  • Resolves technical issues affecting the call center production and recommend an effective solution. Develops and verifies documented procedures
  • Understands and implements the Company's and Client's network policies and standard operating procedures as well as follow all safety rules and regulations to ensure network security. Reports potential user infractions to necessary parties. Ensures security compliance on Anti-Virus definition files
  • Coordinates with authorized customers, vendors or end-users for connectivity setup required in application testing or troubleshooting as validated and approved by the Client
  • Provides clients with updates on the status of requests and tickets
  • Adherence to the assigned shift schedule ensuring 24/7 support to operations
  • Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time
  • Strictly complies with corporate governance and principles, such as but not limited to Housekeeping, Safety, Environmental, and Code of Conduct and Discipline
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Others), Science & Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 1 - 2 years of working experience in Desktop troubleshooting in the BPO/ Call Center industry.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting Windows Operating System OS and different desktop applications
  • With a good command of English language
  • Flexible, efficient in time management and customer oriented
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Alabang
  • Amenable to work on a rotational shift (graveyard, holidays, weekends) and rendering extra work hours (if needed).
