Job Requirements Include but are not Limited to:
  • Understanding of web hosting platforms – AWS (a plus)
  • Understanding of relational databases – MySQL  (a must), PostgreSQL
  • Proficiency in coding for web – Ruby on Rails, HTML5, CSS (a must), SASS, JavaScript (a must), React.js, Node.js, Angular, PHP (a must), jQuery (a must), Ajax (a must)
  • Understanding of task runners – Gulp, Grunt, Webpack, etc.
  • Understanding of source code management systems - Git, GitHub
  • Strong web design skills a must – responsive, frameworks, animation, Foundation, Bootstrap, etc.
  • Understanding of UI/UX design principles – Material design
  • Proficiency in the use of relevant Adobe CC tools – Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
  • Understanding of content management systems – ActiveAdmin, WordPress (a must), etc.
  • Understanding of SEO and Web analytics tools – Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, etc.
Qualified candidates must have development experience in Web design and development technologies and also must have:
  • Excellent communication and team skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Experience with JavaScript / Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), WordPress, React.js, CSS, AJAX, HTML5
  • Experience with SQL Server or other relational database
  • Experience with web design, development, services
  • Experience with large complex applications
Additional Requirements:
  • Portfolio – A robust sample of start-to-finish responsive WordPress development for beautiful web apps and marketing sites. We want to see your best work.
  • Client Communication – Exceptional verbal and written communication skills -- The proven ability and willingness to engage clients directly, brainstorm solutions, and anticipate problems before they arise.
  • Collaboration – Self-motivated individuals who work well independently and alongside a team. Qualified candidates are comfortable with participating in peer code reviews, learning from constructive feedback, and educating others on best practices and new technologies.
  • Agility -- We want individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and regularly master diverse web technologies, techniques, and best practices.
  • Growth and Learning – We want curious and motivated individuals who enjoy learning in a company that values personal growth and knowledge
  • Digital agency experience strongly preferred.

PHP --Custom PHP experience
Wordpress -- WordPress API, PHP classes in the internal codebase, plugin development
DB -- MySQL setup/optimization, custom SQL query experience
Server Admin -- Experience in WordPress deployments, setup and configurations
Git -- Multi-dev workflows, branching and merging
Deployments -- Deployments into staging and production server environments
APIs -- Experience with multiple popular APIs; salesforce, marketo, twitter, facebook, etc.
Responsive / Media queries -- Everything we do is fully responsive
CSS -- Sass / Compass / Bourbon / Bourbon Neat
HTML5 -- Clean, semantic, valid HTML
JS -- jQuery, React/ Angular / Ember
UI / UX -- Experience and passion to create beautiful work
QA -- Writing clean code and testing it throughout the development process to ensure the quality is up to standards
