The Deputy Operations Manager will act as the interface between production leads and the Operations Manager. The successful candidate is expected to develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures. He/She must also drive intelligent utilization through effective resource allocation and must ensure that the core values are practiced for each business unit under him/her.
 
Responsibilities
  • Ensure On-Time Delivery
    • Monitoring team dashboards via Control Centre + Individual data
    • Monitoring of sensitive/urgent requests
    • Take over critical situations such as escalations, external errors and missed deadlines
    • Business Continuity - natural and technical issues
  • Resource Management
    • Staffing review
    • Completion of daily rigor - attendance, 1:1s, scorecard reviews/audits, EDS
    • Task Force assignments
  • Report on the Performance of Accounts/Teams
    • Provide nuanced updates during the weekly ops meeting
    • Flag internal issues that may hamper operational success
    • Ensure accuracy of data reported on team dashboards
    • Present data indicative of team health
  • Operations Management
    • Weekly syncs with POCs per bucket
    • Address areas of difficulty/development including skip levels
    • Implement/cascade organizational changes
    • Regular syncs with support teams - HR, IT, Finance (as needed)
  • POC Success
    • Completion of POC scorecards
  • Business Reviews
    • Report team success via business reviews
    • [Extra] Forecasting vs actuals
  • Team motivation and success
    • Manage attrition <10%
    • 360-degree feedback
  • Individual Success
    • Hitting monthly milestones
Qualifications
  • At least 3 to 5 years of management experience or similar.
  • Must have a strong personal and professional judgment, which are invaluable skills for a role that makes hiring decisions as well as in finding the best solution to organizational dilemmas
  • Organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority, which are essential to a role that juggles a variety of functions and projects
  • Adaptability, enabling the Operations Manager to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly
  • Excellent English (verbal, written and interpersonal) communication skills
  • Any digital advertising experience is a plus
  • Must be willing to work in any shift schedule
