We are looking for an IT Service Desk Specialist to join our IT Manila team. The position requires imaginative, creative, and analytical thinking, with a strong motivation for finding solutions to complex or abstract problems.

The focus of this specialized, technically oriented position is on meeting and exceeding high standards of accuracy and quality based on established systems, technologies, and guidelines.

IT Service Desk Specialist position shall follow company policies and adhere to company regulations. The position is expected to cooperate and support colleagues and bring forward relevant matters within own area of responsibility.
 
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

The position is responsible for terminal related services and provides support to IT Manager and US IT organization.
 
TASKS:

The IT Service Desk Specialist ---
  • Provides first level support of the US IT Team technologies including, but not limited to, hardware, software, and cloud and internet services, and provides resolution to problems associated with those technologies;
  • Provides potential support for technologies not issued by US IT Team but considered essential to business operations;
  • Performs, ensures and oversees efficient and rapid escalation of Incident tickets to appropriate groups or personnel within IT when resolution at the Service Desk level is not possible;
  • Performs basic administration of User and Computer objects within Active Directory and Azure;
  • Coordinates with local US IT team resources on tasks and infrastructure projects that requires physical work to be done;
  • Performs basic administration, communication and enforcement of Management of Change policies and procedures;
  • Performs basic administration, communication and enforcement of IT enterprise security policies and methodologies;
  • Maintains Service Desk documentation and knowledge base to ensure up to date information;
  • Provides communications to EUC through different channel mediums such as the digital screens, TEAMS, email and SMS
  • Performs other relevant tasks as may be assigned by superior.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management of Information Systems or any related field;
  • Minimum of four years’ related experience
  • Information Technology certifications such as A+, Network +, or an MCP variant preferred. Other professional certifications will also be considered.
  • Minimum of three years hands-on experience administrating and supporting common IT Enterprise platforms such as MS Windows 10 Enterprise, MS Office 2013 Pro, imaging tools, remote desktop tools such as TeamViewer and RDP, collaboration tool as MS Teams, etc.
  • With relevant experience in developing documentation and knowledgebase management.
  • Ability to support and repair common enterprise hardware platforms such as laptop computers, desktop computers, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Experience working in an ITIL based Incident Management System and an understanding of common workflow escalation practices within an IT Enterprise
  • Well experienced in Cloud applications such as 0365 suite, MS Office365 and Citrix Workspace environment
  • Familiar with basic ITIL concepts and standards
  • Proficiency in using MS Proficiency in using Microsoft tools including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Power BI;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with and support both technical and non-technical End Users with a positive customer service attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively across and within diverse teams, maintain focus and multitask
  • With strong analytical and problem-solving skills, sense of urgency and ownership
  • With strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Excellent English communication skills
