Job Description:
As our Systems Support Engineer, you will be part of our global Operations department.
You work shifts in our 24/7 Operation Center, with a team of Systems Support Engineers. You work with open source technologies such as Linux, Apache, Tomcat, and Icinga.
  • Monitor our platforms and analyze incidents, which you fix or find a workaround for, focused on quick outage recovery and root cause analysis.
  • Accurately document and communicate the solutions you find, both internally and towards our customers. We also have a knowledge database, to ensure expertise sharing and learning from engineers located in various countries takes place.
  • Create timely and accurate event notifications and incident logs
  • Assist with systems administration, maintenance, hardware, and software upgrades
Our requirements:
  • BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience in a tech-savvy company;
  • 3-5 years professional experience in an international 24/7 environment
  • Knowledge in Linux administration (Redhat/CentOS/Debian/Fedora) for complex production environments;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server
  • Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt in supporting our in house applications
  • Experience with monitoring tools (such as Icinga, Datadog) is a plus
  • Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking capabilities
  • Familiarity with the ITIL service management process
  • Capable of creating documentations based on daily interactions with other support teams
  • Can perform diagnostic routines to isolate and correct system-related problems
  • You focus on our customers, always looking for ways to deliver the highest possible quality;
  • You are organized and disciplined in following procedures, with a positive attitude and willingness to support;
  • You have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
