The Business Development Manager builds market position in the I.T. industry by
locating, developing, defining, negotiating, calling out to customers and closing business
relationships.
 
Business Development Manager Job Duties:
  • Identify trendsetter ideas in the field of I.T. solutions by exploring industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
  • Locates or proposes possible business deals for I.T. solutions by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Analyzes market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financial capability; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments in screening potential business deals.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Ensures confidentiality to maintain the organization’s value.
  • Updates job knowledge in Information Technology by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Continuous call-outs with customers to maintain business relationships
