Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the management of Network & Technical Support Department that comprises of three sections (IT Security Administration Section, Network/System Administration Section and Technical Support). He is responsible for supervising the day to day operation of the organization IT infrastructure and Telecoms (installation, configuration, and administration of the company servers and network equipments). He is also in charge for providing technology support for Call center (UK , Canada, New Zealand and Australia) and for company’s 25 foreign offices in 4 continents all over the world. He supervises, direct, train and evaluate the team and monitor the performance of the Network & technical Support personnel.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Security Administration
    • Manage the planning and implementation of the security matrix for users,servers and routers
    • Plan and manage the security matrix for user access rights to ensure high level email security
    • Manage the planning and implementation of internet access security
    • Manage the planning and implementation of firewall and virus security strategy
    • Manage the development and implementation of a DRP and back up strategy
    • Manage the development of technical documentation of process and workflow
  • Network/System Administration
    • Manage domain administration tasks and ensure compliance to network security policies
    • Manage email administration tasks and ensure compliance to email security policies
    • Manage file server administration tasks and ensure compliance to approved network/intranet security policies
    • Manage database server administration tasks and ensure compliance to DRP strategies
    • Manage web server administration tasks and ensure compliance to internet security policies
  • Technical Support
    • Manage the preventive maintenance program and ensure quality execution on a regular basis
    • Provide input and conceptualize an organized response and execution of reported trouble resolution
    • Manage preparation and ensure availability of inventory data sheet
  • Telecoms
    • Manage and oversee Company’s Telecom equipments (PABX and other VOIP Equipments)
  • Provide input and conceptualize IT infrastructure preventive maintenance plan
  • Develops and manages technology budget and monitors and approves related expenditures.
  • Evaluates organization’s technology requirements and recommend improvements, such as hardware and software upgrades
  • Updates technology jobs descriptions and technology staff evaluations
  • Plan, coordinate and manage the activities of entire functional area’s that includes Network and Systems administration, Technical Services, Telecoms and IT Security.
  • Identify, recommend and manage deployment of hardware and software upgrades and purchases
  • Serves as primary point of contact and liaison with vendors; review vendor products, and coordinates/facilitates vendor interview and presentations.
  • Management all IT infrastructure projects and its implementation, collaborates with concern department/division in the timely and successful implementation of the project to ensure responsiveness in providing business solutions
  • Performs other related functions that may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities/Essential Competencies:
  • Must have a 5 year college degree in Computer Engineering
  • Must have at least 4 years experience in Managerial level
  • Must have at least 5 years experience in the implementation of network/system administration and management, security administration, as well as disaster recovery program
  • Has experience in network/system administration (IT security, technical support, project management and people skill
  • Knowledgeable in dealing with extensive infrastructure background in database and internet technology administration
  • Background with Finance or remittance products or services is an advantage but is not required
  • Has solid Leadership qualities
  • Analytical, logical, systematic, detail oriented, solution oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
  • Proven success in supervising, coaching, managing and developing a team

Scope Of Decision Making:
  • Oversee and manage the day to day activities of the Network & technical Support department
Physical/Work Environment Condition:
  • 5 days a week at 9.5 hours a day, Monday to Friday or
  • 6 days a week at 8 hours a day, Monday to Saturday
  • Weekend duty of 5 hrs from 2pm – 7 pm, on Saturday, Sundays or Holidays, on rotation basis with other officers (subject to availment of Extra-day off or reimbursement in cash at the end of the year
  • Normal air-conditioned room, well-ventilated working space
